You need to buy a big fluffy sofa for your living room. Make it a cottage style thickly padded sofa that would help you in making sure that the room retains a very earthen look. The sofa should seat three and must be provided with both large and medium sized cushions. While the sofa must be in an oyster white shade, you can chose the cushions in a complementing pattern. This would help in maintaining the theme of the room. The armrests must be simple and not very high. Keep moss green colored sofas on either side of the 3 seater sofa. These two must follow the contemporary designs but must have a high and straight arm chair. These sofas need not be very fluffy. Just keep them firm and comfortable. It can also come with accents of deep chocolate brown color. A bench with textures and similar moss green colors would complete the look.
The table that you must keep in the room should be rectangular in shape and must have a glass tabletop. Keep a small flower vase on the table but keep only yellow flowers here. This is because it would match the theme of the room. Keeping red flowers is also okay but it would hardly do anything to accentuate the look and feel of the room. Keep side tables that are chunky and stand exactly at the height of the armrests of your couch. Add lamps and flowers here to complete the furniture part of the room. You must ideally have large French windows here. Use solid grey and sheer white curtains with patterns. The room must be painted in an extremely light variety of moss green. This would help you in keeping the room looking light even after using heavy furniture over here.
Remember, you don’t have to use anything that is too heavy or too dark in the living room otherwise it looks quite boring. Keep it light but make sure it looks fairly elegant.
